Fremont Sanitation District (FSD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Plant Maintenance Technician at the wastewater treatment plant.
The Plant Maintenance Technician works under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Foreman to repair and maintain the buildings, grounds, plant equipment, and biosolids processing equipment at the wastewater treatment facility. Will periodically receive direction from Plant Operators or Equipment Maintenance Technician. This is a full-time position with a 40 hour per week schedule. Hours are normally 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, working one of the following three shift schedules:
· Sunday-Wednesday
· Tuesday-Friday
· Wednesday-Saturday
May also be required to work during emergency situations. Scheduling may vary depending upon workload.
The position will be filled at one of the following levels, depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications:
Plant Maintenance Technician I (Starting Salary $22.47 per hour)
- One year of relevant experience
- Current valid State of Colorado “R” Driver’s License. Must obtain Colorado Class “B” Commercial Driver License (CDL) within six (6) months of employment.
Plant Maintenance Technician II (Starting Salary $24.78 per hour)
- One year of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of a wastewater treatment plant or similar facility required
- Current valid Colorado Class “B” Commercial Driver License (CDL)
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Certification for Confined Spaces must be obtained within (3) months of hire
Upon offer of employment, selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background check, including employment references, criminal history, driving record review, and drug/alcohol testing.
